Stereo Stuff
The speaker enclosure is located behind the driver's seat.  Because, I am 5'-5" and the seat is always all the way forward.
The enclosure is made of 1/2" High Density Particleboard and fiberglass (only located on the bottom portion of the unit).  The bare wires will soon be wired to a banana connector, so I will not need to use twist-ons.  I always take the enclosure out during my racing and when the car goes to the dealership for inspections/checkups/oil-changes, etc.
This 8" woofer, not a true subwoofer, is made by Acustic Research (AR) under their label "Illusion Audio".  The reason for these types of speakers is due to their unique way of mounting the speaker magnet IN-FRONT of the speaker's cone assembly.  Thus, giving a lower profile and compact package, with out hurting the sound quality.

Now granted these are not the type of speakers to win a SPL contest, but they are great speakers for accenting the bottom end.  The type of music I listen to varies from hard rock & roll, dance, jazz, R&B, blues, vocal, instrumental & classical.  The ONLY two music types I DO NOT listen to is country and disco - - I applogize to the people who does.

My system might not rock the world, but it does get loud and the music sounds great to me with the top up & down.  And that is all that counts.

The rest of my system is pretty standard fare with an Alpine CD Head unit and a 6-disk changer in the trunk.
The front speakers are A/D/S 2-way 6.5" seperates, mounted in the factory locations.
The amp is A/D/S's  840 multichannel 8x40 watts.  Mounted in the trunk.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.

The curvature you see on top of the box, is to follow the curves that are located on the car's rear wall's top edge.  Just under the factory rear car speaker's location.
